Hello ECO!

Lately, I spent most of my free time playing Emil Chronicle Online (ECO). In short, I’m addicted to it for an unknown reason. A friend of mine introduced me to this MMO. It’s not exactly a new MMO as it’s quite a popular in Japan considering the mass features added in since it was launch in Japan compare to the Malaysia/Singapore one. Well, it’s still new. I’d say give it some time and it might be as popular as RO or even more.

There are 3 different race in Acronia; Emil (human), Titania (angel) and Dominion(demon). Yes, the Titania has angel wings and halo while the Dominion has the demonic dark-bat-alike wings along with a tail. Like any other MMOs, you can choose what you want to be; a job. Here in ECO, there are 3 job categories; warriors, mages and backpackers. You may choose which job category that you like and talk to certain NPC to get your first job. What is first job? First job is the job you decided to do when you’re in early of the game. You will not have your first job right away. You’ll start off as a novice and you may take your first job anytime you want. When you reach a certain level, like level 30, you may switch to your second job, which is more technical. You may read more here.

ECO jobs

What I like about the game is there’s a feature where you can possess another character using their armor, necklace or hand items as the medium. When I say possess, it doesn’t mean that the character which is being possessed is totally being controlled by the the possesser. The possessed (usually warriors or at least someone who knows how to act as a tank) one is still in control and the possesser (usually mages – low HP), will act as support. The possessed one will act as a tank (which means plenty of HP) while the mages will cast destructive spells or even heal the tanker. One character can be possessed up by 3 other players.Heck, you can even possess your own armor or necklace.

Another thing I forgot to mention, you’ll be able to see or notice a lot of anime influence in this game. For example, this!

Yes. It’s Digi Charat… Well, no harm trying out this game. You might ended up getting hooked into it like me. How can I not get hooked when the game has such a cute monster like this Cinnamon.

Or being able to see someone getting chased by lotsa Bawoo.. (I know I’m a sadist)

… Laugh your heart out when you see your online friend bought new upper armor for her or his character but forgot to buy lower one (you know who you are!~)

…When you realised the supposed slow-yet dangerous Reckless Gecko has anime-like eyes…And why is the Gecko’s cheeks looks pinkish… ? (O.o)”
